1. Overview
Santanero Media Group, LLC ("Santanero Media Group," "we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users, contributors, advertisers, sponsors, and community members to do the same.
This DMCA & Copyright Policy describes procedures for reporting alleged copyright infringement, submitting Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") notices, responding to copyright complaints, and submitting counter-notifications where applicable.
This policy applies to The Santanero, KSNG-DB "Santanero Radio," Santanero.org, newsletters, podcasts, social media accounts, websites, broadcasts, and related media properties (collectively, the "Services").
2. Copyright Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, content published through the Services, including but not limited to articles, news reports, photographs, graphics, logos, audio recordings, podcasts, videos, broadcast content, website content, databases, branding and trademarks is owned by or licensed to Santanero Media Group, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, republication, commercial use, or other exploitation of protected content may violate applicable law.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content appearing on our Services infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright infringement notice.

Review and Response
Upon receipt of a copyright complaint, we may:
- Review the complaint;
- Request additional information;
- Contact the reporting party;
- Contact the contributor or content provider;
- Remove or restrict access to content;
- Decline action if the complaint appears incomplete, unsupported, mistaken, abusive, or otherwise deficient.
We reserve the right to make editorial and legal determinations regarding content appearing on our Services.
6. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe content was removed or restricted as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.
A valid counter-notification should include:
- Your name;
- Your mailing address;
- Your email address;
- Identification of the removed content;
- The location where the content appeared before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Santanero Media Group reserves the right to suspend, restrict, reject, remove, or terminate submissions, contributor privileges, advertising relationships, or access to the Services for individuals or entities that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights.
We may determine repeat infringement based on the circumstances, available evidence, and history of complaints.
5. Contributor Responsibility
Contributors, authors, photographers, advertisers, sponsors, community members, and submitters are responsible for ensuring that material they provide:
- Is original or properly licensed;
- Does not infringe copyright;
- Does not violate trademark rights;
- Does not violate rights of publicity or privacy;
- Complies with applicable law.
Submission of material to Santanero Media Group constitutes a representation that the contributor possesses the necessary rights and permissions to authorize publication.
6. Fair Use
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit lawful uses of copyrighted material, including uses permitted under the doctrine of fair use or other applicable legal exceptions.
The existence of a copyright complaint does not automatically establish infringement.
7. Intellectual Property Questions
Questions regarding copyright ownership, licensing requests, republication permissions, syndication inquiries, or intellectual property matters may be directed to:
Permission requests should include sufficient information to identify the material involved and the proposed use.
8. False or Misleading Claims
Submitting knowingly false, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or bad-faith copyright complaints or counter-notifications may result in rejection of the submission and may expose the submitting party to legal liability under applicable law.
We reserve the right to decline to process abusive or repetitive submissions.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update, revise, modify, or replace this DMCA & Copyright Policy from time to time.
When changes are made, we will revise the Effective Date above.
Continued use of the Services after updated policies are posted constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
